Overview: Sub41 were contracted to extend the existing slipway facility at Bell Bay which is used for haul of TasPorts vessels including all pilots boats in the north of the state. The 2.4m extension was undertaken using a prefabricated template c/w the rails and concreted insitu. Preparations and civil works were undertaken from the ramp at low tide and between haul out schedules. Works were completed in 3 days onsite and now gives Tasports 70% greater tidal range to use the facility.
